1. The SH1 Junction Is Not Fun in a Hire Truck

Hornby sits right where State Highway 1 meets the Southern Motorway and that intersection handles a lot of traffic every day. Driving an unfamiliar truck through peak hour there is stressful and slows everything down. We plan around the busy periods.

2. Rental Return Times Catch People Out

If the truck needs to be back by 5pm and your move runs long, you are paying for another full day. That happens more often than people expect. Because our trucks are ours, we do not have that pressure.

3. Apartments Near The Hub and Dress Smart Have Tricky Access

Parking around the mall area is tight and most of it is signposted for short stays. We know which loading zones work for a moving truck and we plan the access before we show up.

A: We take every precaution and wrap everything properly. For high-value items we recommend getting your own contents insurance for transit as that gives you the best protection. We can chat through what that looks like when you book.

A: Give us as much notice as you can and we will do our best to rebook you. Last-minute changes on the day are harder to work around but we try to be reasonable about it.

A: Not at all. A lot of Hornby is that era of home. We bring the right gear for tight hallways and awkward doorways and we have moved plenty of them.

A: Yes. Weekends are available but they fill up faster than weekdays so lock in your date early.
